Christmas 2010

After we setup our blog and facebook page, we sent out the links to our friends. With Christmas coming up we got quite a few orders for our Christmas range. All the orders may have come from our friends, but I’m sure that’s how many businesses start off!

After a quick calculation we realised we had to make about 150 gingerbread cookies. Slightly overwhelmed we got to work over a weekend just before Christmas and managed to complete them over the next few days.

We were pretty happy and satisfied that our deadlines were met and all our customers (friends J) received their orders to enjoy over the Christmas break.

We now have our official Christmas range which can be viewed through our facebook page. Any orders or inquiries can be directed to gingerbread.corner@gmail.com

First Official Order

Our very first customer was actually a friend from work named Dita whose son was having a Christmas party at his school. She ordered 30 assorted, Christmas gingerbread cookies.

So we got to work & made Christmas trees, snowmen, candy canes, snowflakes and Rudolph the red nose reindeers.

Things went according to plan except for the reindeers. We tragically lost the left antler on each of the reindeers and although most of them were repaired with a little help from a lot of icing, there was one that just couldn’t be saved L.

But overall the Christmas range turned out really well and very colorful and festive and the children at the school enjoyed them.

We were told by Dita that our “gingerbread cookies were a huge hit and that they were the first things to go” and her son Jonathan, 8 yrs old, was heard saying “These are the best gingerbread cookies I have ever tasted.” Success!
